-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- www.corvettehomecoming.com/While @ MAM Funfest on Saturday, Joe Pruitt stopped by the MM parking corral & invited our group to Bowling Green, KY. to participate in The National Corvette Homecoming. The XLRs will be on display during the event with their own parking area. This will be the first year that the XLRs will be part of the event. It would be great to have a large number of XLRs show up for this. I will have more info soon. Check out the link and mark your calenders for July 14-16 2011.

Here are the direct phone numbers and the rates for the 3 hotels there in the group. If everyone gets on the same page there should not be a problem. But if they call the corporate numbers no telling what they may tell them. Please ask for NCH rates. So I posted an "inquiry" on XLR Forum, about the Corvette Homecoming ... I've gotten over 100 hits, but only replies from Gizmo, Monepit and myself (still don't see your reply, Cubby)... but tonight, Jerry (Administrator) posted this: "I have been in contact with Joe Pruitt who is the sponsor of the Corvette Homecoming. He informed me that his invitation is intended for all XLR owners. So if you are interested or think you may be, I recommend that you register and reserve your hotel now.
In my experience these events fill up quickly and you don't want to have to hunt up a hotel at the last minute.
I am looking forward to learning about a very successful event and all of the good times everyone had.
Best Wishes
Jerry "
Hopefully we get some more XLR's to show up.

WOW - what a difference in the two XLR Forums ... I've gotten about 175 views on my National Corvette Homecoming thread ... but nobody is showing any interest. Do those people just not like to get together? NCH is a great opportunity - but nobody is biting.
I'm SOOO glad I found XLR-Net!

Have you notices on the XLR-Net site that we have had a few people join this week. Maybe it's the ones that have been checkeing the other site. Just becareful wouldn't want you guys to get banned over there. Right now you two are the only ones that can try and let other XLR owners know about get togethers and try and get more people joining us.

I sent out a mass email this past Monday from the list of people who attended RIII in Bowling Green in 2008. There were 90+ cars at that event. Only nine emails were invalid and I received responses back from a few already. I also put the xlr-net website in the email and I noticed a couple that have join our site. Hopefully there will be more as time goes on. there were quite a few from that trip that decided at the last minute, they don't plan ahead like we do.
